What a great way to spend a weekend.....sharing in the most important decision of two peoples' lives. What a blessed occasion! It was an honor to meet these two families and see them come together to celebrate the new life for Michael and Ashley.
These two met at college and have been together ever since. Even though they've been together for five years their love is still strong. When a relationship is built on love, trust, and selflessness you know it's going to last and that's what you saw when you look at them together. They were so comfortable with each other and you knew they were meant to be.
The wedding was so fun! Filled with AMAZING food, dancing, and friendship. Everyone there felt welcome and had a good time. Thanks again for letting be a part of your special day. I'll always remember it!

Gosh, it's seems like it's been a while since I've done a family session!
This is another one of those sessions that I have a hard time classifying it as work. Not only are they a GORGEOUS family, they are some of our best friends in the world!
The kids did perfect during the session. They did everything that was asked of them and they stuck with it until we were done. It was fun to see them in this light.
It was also a joy to see Zach and Amy by themselves. They are so genuinely in love. They're like two kids in a new relationship. It's so cute to see Zach teasing Amy:) She's like me when my husband gets my goat; we try to act mad but deep down we know it's a way they show their affection.
Ugh, I've shed so many tears thinking of the thought of leaving this family. You have left deep footprints on mine and my family's hearts. We will miss you so much and can't thank you enough for the help and friendship that you've given us. You are truly one in a million. God be with you 'til we meet again.

Another great couple at another great location! These two met at Texas Tech so they wanted to implement the location since it means so much to them. I love it when couples do that! It makes the portraits more personal and it means more to the couple. I think the feelings you have when you look at the portraits years later last a lot longer than if it's at just some random location that you thought looked cool at the time.
These two were so playful with each other and it was an honor to be a witness. I thought it was so cute how Kory would tease Brittni. It made me think of my own marriage and how my husband teases me:)
We had great help (Brittni's mom) with holding extra stuff as well as keeping an eye on Atlas. He is Brittni's dog and he's the cutest thing you've ever seen! I didn't hear a peep out of him the whole time. He was inquisitive just like any other dog but he was great for portraits. He didn't even have treats! Most dogs, unless you have treats you should just throw in the towel before you begin because they usually won't hold still. He did great!
Thanks again, you two, for such a great start to the Memorial Day weekend. Had a lot of fun. Can't wait for the wedding!

I seriously had so much fun on this shoot! I'm kicking myself for not getting to know this girl earlier! I'm sad that I'm moving because we could have been so close!
Loni was one of our winners from our contest. She used her session for more images in her portfolio. She is a model (you can obviously tell) and is thinking of starting up again. She is also a fellow photog who is very talented. Another reason I should have got to know her sooner! Loni just happens to be from Utah as well, yet another thing we have in common.
We did it at the location where I did my last senior session and we soon realized that I didn't even scratch the surface of the cool things that were there. I'm so glad we walked around and found all the cool backdrops and props! Coolest place ever to shoot in Clovis!!!!!

This girls beauty speaks for itself! I think she may have gotten sick of me telling her how GORGEOUS she looked. This was one of the funnest sessions I've done because Lacey has so much personality. As I've looked back through the portraits, I've discovered that her smile is incredibly contagious. When you come across one that she's smiling in, you can't help but smile yourself.
I also love that she fuels her fiance's love for Superman. She had a Superman garter and even a Superman cape that made the session so original. I loved it! I cannot wait for their wedding! It will be one to be remembered:)

I can't say enough about how sweet this little girl is! She did perfect through the whole session!
I have come to love this family and she fits right in. As soon as you walk into her room, you can fill the love overflowing to every corner. Even before she was born it was so peaceful to go in and bask in the quiet. Now that she's here, she's just become a part of the room. Her parents' eyes were beaming with joy as they held her and it was so angelic. I loved every minute of this session!
Given that her room is a part of who she is, naturally I had to get some of the room. The way it's decorated is simply breathtaking. I told her mom that she needs to take pictures and put them in some home magazine because they are the cutest decorations I've ever seen. I never knew that I liked owls before but after seeing Grayce Willow's room, I want nothing less for my daughters' rooms!

It's been a year already!? Where did the time go?!
I did this handsome thing's portraits when he was born and again when he was 6 months. I can't believe how big he's gotten. He gets cutter every time I see him! He was perfect during the session. I've never seen a one year old hold as still as he did. He stayed in the same exact spot the whole time while the cake was in front of him. It couldn't have gone better!
I'm sad that this is the last time I'll be able to take his portraits though. They are moving this summer. We sure will miss the Mckiernan family! It's been a pleasure taking your portraits:)

Wow! Where do I even begin with this girl!? She could seriously be America's Next Top Model! Not only is she DROP DEAD GORGEOUS but she has the personality to match. I know Ceci from church and she is one that is extremely easy going and very easy to get along with. She is true to herself and she doesn't let anyone deter her from the things that are important to her. One thing I absolutely love about her is her mom is her best friend. She would rather hang out with her than with anyone else. How many teenagers can say that about their parent?
Ceci is also very accomplished. She is an AMAZING singer and is planning on trying out for American Idol (one of my favorite shows ever!). She plans on staying in Clovis for a year to save up some money and then going to Brigham Young University in Idaho. She wants to be a physical therapist.

The Windmill Museum is quickly becoming a favorite of mine as well as clients. This is actually where Kris and Lindsey are getting married and they saw the portraits I took of Cory & Leticia and loved them! Of course we had to get engagements here! They turned out amazing!
Due to another wedding going on there that day, we weren't able to get a lot of portraits outside with the big windmills. So, instead, we went just down the road to the Agricultural Museum and I have to say I think this spot was better with this couple. It turned out perfect! I think it really fit their style.
Kris and Lindsey met through family members and have been together ever since. Kris proposed while taking their FIRST ever pictures together. His mother was taking them and Kris had it all planned out. His mother was positioning them and had him get down on his knee all the while Lindsey had no idea. He pulled out a ring and popped the question. He picked the ring without her knowing too! He sneakily took some rings of hers to make sure the size was right and everything. May I say what a great job he did of picking!?
I had so much fun getting to know this couple. We had a lot in common. Thanks, you too, for another amazing session! You are amazing!

This GORGEOUS little princess just happened to be at our session yesterday when we did the "smash the cake" with my little one and my niece. This was a fun engagement session because it allowed me to discover a new town in Texas; Plainview. It was such a cute town with so many great places to shoot at. We went to three different locations and I loved them all!! I can't wait to shoot Danielle's bridals here!
We started the session at the Running Water Draw Regional Park. They had a playground named Kidsville and it was the most elaborate, well built playground I've ever seen. My family was able to come with me on the session and my kids had a blast playing while we shot portraits.
We then made our way to Plainview's original train depot that was built in 1906. It was neat to add a little bit of history to the future couple's portraits.
The last location we went to was this beautiful church. I'm not sure the denomination of the church but it was gorgeous. We were able to get some on a bridge with the church in the background and they turned out amazing!
Danielle and Curtis have been dating for about 4 years and you can see how comfortable they are with each other. Even though they've been together for a while, they still made each other laugh and giggle and tease each other (it was more Curtis doing the teasing). They are both from Plainview. Danielle works as a case worker and Curtis works in the distribution department at Walmart. They like going dancing together which I think is a great past time and fun date to go on:)

It was such a joy to photograph these two! They were so comfortable with each other and it was amazing to see. A lot of times when I have a couple look at each other for photos they start to giggle but these two could have looked into each others' eyes for days. You could almost see the sparks flying between them. Cory was so sweet with Leticia. We had to do a little bit of walking around the facility and he held her hand the whole time to make sure she didn't fall. The way he touched her and got her hair out of her face (due to the horrid wind) was so soft and gentle I almost wanted to cry! I felt like I was watching a romantic movie.
We did them at the amazing Windmill Museum in Lubbock. It is also a venue you can have your wedding at. I have always loved windmills so to see all of the different kinds of windmills (there were about 100 btw) was spectacular. Its definitely a place I want to take my 3 year old. There is also a museum of agriculture right next to it as well that has rows and rows of tractors. It would make my 3 year old light up for days!
Cory and Leticia are both working while she goes to school to be a nurse and takes care of their sweet 14 month old. I had to laugh when I asked them what they do for fun in their spare time and they both said, "What spare time!?" That's about right when you have little ones.

Remember the sweet little boy Maddox that I blogged about a few weeks ago? Well, this is the rest of his family. They are such a beautiful family and I love them to death. They have become such good friends of ours and Tiffany has been such an inspiration to me as a photographer. I love swapping knowledge with her. It keeps me hyped up and I love it!
Given that the locations were so beautiful with the Daley family, I had to get some more shots at the same locations. They have quickly become my new favorite.

This pretty little lady is the first to participate in our 'Baby's First Year' program and these were taken for her first session (maternity). I absolutely love the way they turned out! I love her dress, the couch, the field, the old building we found, the vines......I loved everything about this session! The weather was perfect and so was the lighting. I was able to get some perfect exposure shots as well as some gorgeous sun flare shots.
We met Lauren and JT last Thanksgiving. They are neighbors to some really good friends of ours and have become our friends as well. I love hanging out with Lauren and Hayzen loves playing with JT. Dan just recently returned home from an extended TDY and it was great to finally meet him. We had heard such great things about him and were glad to hear of his safe return home.

Gosh, with shooting all these couples, it makes me want to go back to where my husband and I were still engaged! Seeing the twinkle that these two put in each others' eyes took me back to a time where nothing mattered except being in love. It was the cutest thing to see Terry and Jennifer interact with each other! You could see how much Terry gave Jennifer the butterflies. It was truly magical!
They met through mutual friends and have dated for over a year. Jennifer is a full time student, getting her degree in Psychology. She wants to get a career doing marriage counseling. What an amazing occupation!
Terry is working while going to school to become an electric engineer. He's been working in this field for 5 years now so is doing very well with it. They already have a home which takes half the stress out of getting married!

Look how gorgeous this couple is! I totally think Krystal should be a model!
This session went by so quickly. Not only because they were needing to meet with their realtor to close on a house but also because everything ran so smoothing. Everything just seemed to flow so well. It was really fun to meet with them and get to know them a little better.
These two met at a mutual friends house warming party and have been together ever since. Krystal is a case worker and Chris is a parole officer. They like to go dancing (any kind really), watch movies and have an occasional glass of wine and spend time together. Speaking of wine, the location we did their session at was the BEAUTIFUL Caprock Winery. The staff there was very accommodating and wonderful to work with. I would suggest this wedding venue to anyone!

Another gorgeous day with another great couple. We took these portraits at the Spirit Ranch in Lubbock and the area was beautiful. I can only imagine how breath taking it is in the summer when everything is green and in blossom.
Bobby and Rebecca actually met while in grade school (Bobby was Rebecca's brother's friend) but it wasn't until after college that they started dating. They've been together for over a year now and you can just see how comfortable they are with each other. It was great to see them interact with each other. When I take portraits of couples, I take a lot of the couple looking at each other and it was so cute to see them giggle as they had a stare down contest.
Rebecca is a school teacher (man, I seem to take lots of portraits of great teachers lately) teaching Spanish at a local Jr. High and High School. She wants to get to where she's teaching a younger age group but she loves what she does. Bobby works for a company based out of Dallas supplying phones to rural area companies. He is the only one in the company in the Lubbock area so he has many job descriptions and stays quite busy.

I just want to eat this little boy up! He is such a cutie and I've never taken portraits of a more well mannered one year old than Maddox. He is the son of some good friends of ours and fellow photog. The mother wanted to get some outdoor portraits of him in this ADORABLE outfit before he grew out of it. So, we both took our cameras and got some great shots, swapping knowledge as we went along.
Maddox never whined or complained once, even when it started to get a little chilly as the sun went down. When shooting little kids, normally you would all but have to stand on your head to get them to pay attention and smile but Maddox never moved out of position and as you can see we got some great smiling shots. I love the way they turned out. Thanks Rad and Tiffany for asking me to take portraits of your handsome little guy!

This sweet little thing and her family are friends of ours from church. Two weeks ago the women in our church had an activity where we bid on different things with fake money. Allison's mother bid and won a mini session from me. She was excited to use them for Allison's baptism portraits. What a beautiful little girl she is, too!
She was a little shy at first but quickly warmed up to me and starting posing on her own (which she did an amazing job at!) We are excited to see her make such an important step in her life by being baptized. What a wonderful daughter of God she is!
They were taken in Clovis at the place that's quickly becoming my favorite.

This was another great engagement session! We did it at the location where they are getting married which is at 4 Bar K in Lubbock. It was an amazing spot. We had a lot of textures to work with for backgrounds which made for a great variety. It had more of a country feel and made me right at home. Having grown up on a ranch myself, I love that kind of setting.
This session was so fun for me not only because I was photographing an amazing and gorgeous couple but I was also able to take my husband (slash assistant) with me. We sort of made a double date out of it. We hit it off instantly with Whitney and Jarrod.
Whitney grew up in the Lubbock area. She, like Lacey, is a teacher as well. She teaches broadcasting media to 7th and 8th grade students. After having completed her schooling in broadcasting she discovered that reporters didn't make as much money as she had hoped and opted for an even better option instead. I had no idea that they even offered this kind of class, let alone to such young kids, so naturally I was intrigued at what she does.
Jarrod grew up in Brownsfield, TX. He is a CPA in the west TX region. He went to school at Texas Tech for such a job and tried it for a little while in Dallas but saw how much he was working and had no time for himself and decided to start a career in the police force. He graduated at the police academy and was in the field for about 2 months. While in the academy he was dating Whitney and started getting second thoughts about being a policeman since he wanted to start a family. He thought it a more dangerous career being a future husband and went back to doing CPA work. Even though he travels more during the week he still likes his job. He is still able to be with Whitney and his family on the weekends.

Her mother brought her once we got all the other shots that we wanted to get. Lulu was amazing! She was so well mannered and would do just about anything for a hot dog. I was very impressed. She was a cutie!
And bless Whitney's mom! She crawled in the wagon to hold Lulu so we could get a few shots of her peeking her head out over the edge. They were both real troopers!

I just want to say I had a blast on this engagement session with Jake and Lacey! I immediately hit it off with this gorgeous couple. They were so fun with beaming smiles and exceptional character.
These two met from a relative, and then worked together at the local gym's daycare. Being a "big kid" himself, Jake is loved by all the children. From playing with the babies to playing laser tag with the older kids, he does an amazing job, even changing diapers (after not having to change one for a whole year.) He is continuing his education at Lubbock Christian University to someday be in the field of sports education.
Lacey graduated in December from Lubbock Christian University and days later got a job working as a second grade teacher where she actually replaced her own second grade teacher. She is also amazing with kids and will one day make an amazing mother.
If you know Jake, you know that he is a huge fan of Superman. When they told me they wanted some 'Lois and Clark' portraits, I literally jumped with excitement. I love it when clients bring their own "Priceless" commodities to make their portraits personal, with their own style and flare creating a crater between originality and common "cookie cutter" portraits. You can see from the portraits below that we all had extreme amounts of fun with this session!

As most of you know, we participated in the annual Lubbock Bridal Showcase on the 16th. What a great experience it was! We got to meet so many wonderful people and made some great contacts. We had so many great friends and family supporting us through the whole journey. We had tremendous help from our friends at Zinser photography in Reno, NV helping us get our booth prepared. We didn't have to worry about our kids all day due to some awesome friends (we love you Hart family)! Most of all, we had lots of great brides, grooms, mothers of brides, friends of brides, and sister's of brides who we got to meet and talk with at the show.This has been an amazing stepping stone for Priceless Image Photography and we're already seeing the snowball get bigger.
There were almost 600 brides who registered for the showcase and over 1600 people came through the doors that day. We were so privileged to be part of something so amazing and know we'll be back next year! Thanks for those who came to our booth and said hello. We can't thank you enough! We hope to see you again in the near future.

Can you believe that this gorgeous girl is only 13?! Yes, that's right! This pretty thing is my sweet little sister, Hailey. She came down from Utah with my dad and his wife to visit for a few days during the holiday, so naturally, we had to get some snapshots. We started the day with some sunrise shots then came inside to warm up and make breakfast (40 degree weather makes for some cold shoots!) We then made our way to Bovina where we found a PERFECT spot in a junkyard. It was equipped with amazing vehicles that added bright colors and flair (which added to her vibrant personality).
It was so fun to see her. She is one of the sweetest girls I know. She is always so giving, generous, and thoughtful of others. She has a stronger spirit than most girls her age.
She has followed in my little brother's footsteps and has started rodeo-ing. She, of course, is a natural and won her first buckle a few months ago doing break away. She won it after only competing very few times. The way she's going, she's headed for wonderful things and will achieve so much. I love her with all my heart! I miss you already, Hailey.

I think I have found my new favorite spot to take photos! Having grown up on a ranch, I've always loved windmills and we were right in windmill city. With Kelli and Cody having grown up in Portales, they knew of this spot. Luckily, Kelli's father is good friends with the gentleman who owns this property so she gave him a ring and, viola, we're in heaven! Windmills literally everywhere!
I knew this family from Clovis but they have recently moved to Oklahoma City but were back home for the Thanksgiving holiday. The shoot went very well. Colton had some great ideas for poses which I gladly used and Cadence was a sweet little thing. What a "capture your heart" smile she has. And those pigtails......adorable!! The weather was just about right, not too much wind, not too cold (until it got dark) and a beautiful sunset.

You might recognize this handsome little guy from his newborn photos. I can't believe he is already 6 months. My, how time flies!
We were hoping for an outside shoot this time but due to the wind we were only able to snap a few in the Mckiernan's front yard. But, what we lacked in warm, calm weather, we quickly made up for in cute studio shots. With Vickey's (Patrick's mother) genius ideas, we incorporated a little holiday in a few of them. With the intent of taking them outside, neither one of use put much thought into what we would do for studio photos but she had a brilliant idea of wrapping a box and putting her sweet gift inside. I also think the rocking chair gave the shoot some flare and spunk. Don't get me started on the owl beanie and Santa hat! I could not get over how adorable they both looked on Patrick.
He of course was a trooper through the whole shoot. He never cried once. We had a hard time towards the end getting his attention (he was more interested in the leaves than our renditions of Lady Gaga) but we was a complete angel. I couldn't have asked for it to go better.
Thank you Vickey, once again for letting me rearrange your furniture and take your sweet boy's photos!

The Spotts Family {Clovis, NM Family Photographer}

This was probably one of the fastest shoots that I've done. Due to school and work schedules we only had about 45 minutes of good light. However, the kids in this family did exceptionally well. It was a race of camera against the sun in getting these fabulous shots. We got some traditional shots as well as some fun, non-traditional ones. This family is one that likes to have fun together and it showed in their pictures. We went from laying on the ground to up in the tree with our poses. It made my job so easy because they were easy going and kept up with my fast pace. I couldn't believe how many great photos we got with how little time we had. I was very pleased.

This family, like the Cardon's, wanted some colorful trees in their photos and so we took advantage of the beautiful park that Clovis had to offer. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to take photos. Other than the fact that it's in a little bit of a valley and we lose about 10-15 minutes of daylight because of it, it's the perfect spot for a versatility of photos. I do, though, wish that we had painters pallet of trees in New Mexico but I'm afraid I will have to go back to Utah for that one. For now, this will do.

Fall is one of the most beautiful times of year to take pictures. The fall color produced by the recreational parks in Clovis is just what the "doctor" ordered.
It was a perfect day to take photos too! It was sunny and warm with a fading sun delicately casting it's last glistening rays on and through the leaves that were grasping hold of the limbs, struggling for warmth to survive the inevitable fate of falling into the earth's embracing arms of fall. The children were active, cheerful, and cooperative. Quincy had just gotten over a cold the day before, but still gave us some wonderful smiling shots. Addison was a beautiful young lady, a little shy but always polite. She was also a big help keeping Quincy happy. Porter was also quite the gentleman. I couldn't get over how handsome Porter and Quincy were with their hats on. The hats added flare and character to the photos. Sheree made a wise choice in their clothing selection. They were just the right addition to their outfits.
I was ecstatic when I saw them bring their rocking horse. I've mentioned before, I love when families incorporate sentimental possessions. The rocking horse was bought, redesigned and given to Porter by a lady who absolutely adored him. I had to get a picture of everyone riding it, including the parents, because it meant so much to them. They will always have a priceless image to remind them of the generousity of the lady.
Craig and Sheree were both reared in utah. They moved to Clovis from Arizona in July because of Craigs work as a dentist.

Mark your calendars, December 4, 2010 for our charity event. Priceless Image Photography has teamed up with Santa Clause, Joe’s Boot Shop, and Rooney Moon Broadcasting to help with the 2010 Mix Angel program. The program raises money to help families in the community have a Christmas that otherwise would not be able to. They provide things such as Christmas trees, clothes, food, toys, etc. to help families in need.

When we moved here in May of 2009 we had only $250 in our bank account. That Christmas we received an anonymous donation that helped us out immensely. Since then we have gotten on our feet. Matt has a good job and, after being an employee at Joe’s Boot Shop, I started Priceless Image Photography. Now we want to pay it forward.

Instead of being limited in the amount we could donate, we decided to use our talent to generate more money for the program.

For $15 you can come get your picture taken with Santa and get a 5X7 photo. $10 out of every $15 dollars will be donated to the Mix Angel Program. If you would like to do more, 100% of what is given over $15 will be donated. $15 covers the whole family (Parents and Children).

On December 4, 2010 at Joe’s Boot Shop come tell Santa what you want for Christmas and get a picture taken with him! The best part of the whole program is you will have a “Priceless Image” to show and teach your children and grandchildren about charity; the joy it brought to you and the person that received it that Christmas!

Come pay it forward and help a family out in need! The event will go from 10am- 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm at Joes Boot Shop (2600 Mabry Dr. Clovis NM.)

This couple has quite the legacy. What a beautiful family they have with 4 children and 13 grandchildren. It was a very laid back and relaxed shoot with great lighting due to the overcast. It was a little chilly but we got some great shots of everyone. It was such a joy getting to know this family better and seeing them interact with each other. You can truly see the love they have for one another which is so refreshing in today's crazy world.

This is one of the client horses that my very handsome and talented husband is training at the moment. The owner wanted horses of her mustang and they turned out awesome! He is from Washington state and made the long trek down to Texas. He is doing exceptionally in his training and coming along great. This was another shoot that I did on Labor Day. Like the one before, this shoot couldn't have gone better. I had driven around the day previous and scoped out some great locations. With it being in the middle of the day I needed to find some places that had plenty of shade to eliminate all of the harsh shadows that the high sun creates. I found some back alleys that were just right for this. With Alex being Latina, we also wanted to incorporate some Spanish influence and we found this run down Mexican restaurant that we all fell in love with. I think they turned out great!

The Hansen Couple { East NM, West TX Family Photographer}

Here are the formal photos of this gorgeous couple. I can't believe that I take pictures for a living because it feels more like play than anything. I was like a little kid in a candy store for this shoot. I found some great locations just outside of Clovis and the pictures turned out AMAZING! With Ryan having just got home from a deployment these two were like newly weds again. It was very endearing to watch. They acted like they were the only two people on earth and it was touching to watch them interact with each other. This shoot, I don't think, could have gone any better.

Soldier's Homecoming {East NM, West TX Couple Photographer}

This shoot was a new and wonderful experience. My friend had her husband coming home from a 4 month deployment so I was privileged to take his homecoming photos. There has been a video floating around youtube.com of a ton of soldier's returns and it makes me cry every time. This young woman has seen it also and has the same reaction. She showed this emotion as she waited anxiously for her husband to walk through those glass doors. It was a beautiful reunion and I was so glad I could be a part of it. Let us all be thankful for those brave soldiers who keep us free!

This handsome young cowboy belongs to Shauna and Joel Smith. I call him the miracle baby. The Smiths had been trying to conceive a child for years but were unsuccessful. They've gone through many tests and fertility treatments and the Lord finally blessed them with this little guy. He was the sweetest thing! He didn't make a peep the whole photo shoot. Probably the best baby I've photographed.
Towards the end of the shoot, it got pretty dark so I popped on my flash and got some great shots. They were taken in the Smith's backyard.

Fowler Twins {Eastern NM, West TX Child Photographer}

Back in October of last year, I took the Fowler's family pictures. Christina and I became good friends and she had me take her twins' one year pictures. These two little cutie pies did so well. They were all over the place which made it easy for me to run around, jump up and down and get any shot that I wanted. I got great ones of them individually and also a bunch of them together. We were in the shade of a tree in front of Andrew's parents' house which made for great lighting. Mixed with a little bit of my flash, they were perfect!

Border Town Days Parade

Last weekend the towns of Texico, NM and Farwell, TX had what they call Border Town Days. It's a day filled with fun and games and they start the day off with a parade. So, I decided to do a little publicity and enter it. I had my friend, Meichelle (who I recently did family pictures for) pose for me on the back of our truck for a mock shoot. It turned out so well! She did beautifully! I had so much fun getting to do this and will definitely do it next year! Here are some shots from the day.

Elyse Ennis; Take 2 - {East NM, West TX Baby Photographer}

This gorgeous little girl is one that I've taken newborn pictures of. She is now 6 months and I can't believe how the time flies! She has grown up so quick and I don't think it will be long before she's up and walking. She is one of the cutest little girls I've ever seen and had such a blast taking her photos. Shoots like hers make my job the funnest in the world! She was perfect. I can't get over how gorgeous her eyes are and how long her lashes are. I thought my boys had long eyelashes but they don't have anything on this pretty princess!
The weather man said it was going to be cloudy and I wish it had been but I love the way they turned out and the effect the sun made. We also created our own "clouds" by standing in front of the sun to create shade and eliminate harsh shadows. I think they turned out spectacular! Tell me what you think.

The Johnson Family - {East NM, West TX Family Photographer}

This was one of the easiest families that I've taken pictures of. You could definitely tell that Meichelle is a former model. Not only was she extremely photogenic but her husband, Blake, 3 year old little girl, Grace, and two month old, Grant were as well. They were complete naturals. I didn't feel like a photographer at all because I barely had to tell them how to pose or what to do. I merely felt like an observer watching them go about their regular routine; not someone shooting pictures of them. Both Grace and Grant were troopers. Grace was a beautiful princess and Grant was a true gentleman. As a photographer, I count it a real blessing when little kids cooperate and smile for the camera. It couldn't have gone better! Given, I would have liked a few more clouds than what we had but the weather was great and we didn't have too many harsh shadows around the face. My exposure was just about spot on with most of the shoot.

Patrick Mckiernan - {East NM, West TX Newborn Photographer}

Patrick 2 months old and is the last of four sons. He has a 7 yr old brother, and two 5 yr old brothers (turning 6 on the 29th). After meeting them all, you can definitely tell that they are all brothers.
Patrick was a perfect little angel! He behaved so well and we only had two small "accidents". I just wanted to squeeze his cheeks and hold him tight! By then end he was getting quite tired and we finished just in time for his nap. We timed it just right. In fact, it was probably one of my fastest photo shoots because everything went so smoothly. I love how they turned out!

Albrecht - Truman Wedding - {Southern Utah Wedding Photographer}

June is such a wonderful time to have a wedding!

I had the opportunity of attending my brother-in-law’s wedding in St. George Utah and I was privileged to be the photographer. It was such a beautiful wedding! The bride and groom were just elated all day long and you could see it on their faces. When they looked into each others' eyes, they acted as if no one else was there. Both families of the bride and groom couldn’t be happier with the choice they were making to wed. It seems they were made for each other.

The day was absolutely perfect! Especially to take photos. It was overcast and only 78 degrees. So it wasn’t too hot and there weren’t any squinting faces with really harsh shadows. I was able to get the exposure just the way that I wanted it. Inside at the reception was perfect too. We took photos before the reception started and I was able to turn on all the lights which made it to where I didn’t have to up my ISO very much at all.

Ashley and Shay met in St. George where Shay had been going to college and working and where Ashley was attending high school. Shay’s brother Jake, and his wife, Jess (who Shay was living with at the time) went to the same church as Ashley and had known her for years. They set Shay up on a blind date with Ashley and the rest is history.

I see Shay as one of my own brothers so to see him with such a wonderful girl is awesome. Ashley is the sweetest, funniest girl and I absolutely love her personality. The first time I met her she came up to me and gave me a big hug (which she had to lean down to do due to my shortness) which made me feel like family immediately. She has a very up beat, positive attitude and it spreads to those around her. She just sparkles! The two make an adorable couple. I wish them both the best of luck in their years to come as a family. I can’t wait to see them again!

These are photos of Ryan Mclay and his parents. This was such a fun shoot for me. It was a blast to get to know Angela and Andrew and see them interact with their first child. Being a mother of two boys, I know from experience that parenting does not come naturally but these two made it look as such. The way they looked at their little boy brought back memories of when I held my first little boy; a look of such love and compassion. A look that says, "even though times will be hard and parenting is not easy, seeing this sweet little being makes it all worth it. Even though there are sleepless nights, having you in my life is such a joy. There is no way that I would change being your parent for anything in the world." You could tell just by seeing the way that Angela and Andrew hold Ryan that he is in a home that loves and adores him so much. Which is exactly what I was trying to capture in these photos. I think you can see that in all of them.

This was one of the best photo shoots! The weather was perfect, we had great backgrounds, and I had a wonderful subject to shoot. Audrey is a good friend of mine and she is graduating this month. We had a blast taking these. She said that she hates her picture taken but she is so photogenic. We, at times, had a hard time not laughing because my son kept chasing the chickens and picking them up. So it was very relaxed and laid back. It couldn't have gone any better! They were taken at my house in Bovina.

This is my husband doing what he does best.....training horses. He was selling this horse so he wanted me to take photos to post online and these were some that I thought turned out great. Kutler and Paige - {East NM, West TX Newborn Photographer}

Two weeks ago I had the experience of a lifetime. I not only had my second son but I had it on the same day that my sister had her third daughter. My son, Kutler, was born two weeks early and my sister's daughter, Paige, was born a week early via scheduled c-section. For months we joked about having our babies on the same day and being in the hospital together but never dreamed it would come true. Kutler was determined to come before Paige though. I went into labor around 2:30 in the morning and had him by 5:22. It was so fun to be in the hospital with my sister and share that experience with her. The nurses all had a blast with it too. They couldn't believe that luck turned out the way it did.
So these are their newborn pictures and I'm amazed at how well the babies did during the shoot. Of course we had to do some with Paige on her daddy's navy uniform and Kutler with his daddy's cowboy hat and spurs. I love to personalize baby photos and these couldn't have turned out better. The ones of Kutler and me were taken by my mother.

This is my sister and her cute girls Kenzie and Adrie. This was kind of an experimental shoot - working with lights and what not. I think they turned out so cute! She is due with her third girl on April 16th. We're so excited!

Here are pictures from my sister, Nicole's, and her new husband, Tyree's wedding. My sister, Camille, and I traveled up to Utah with our kids to be a part of this blessed day. We had so much fun meeting Ty and his 4 year old daughter, Ryann. They are such a cute family. We couldn't have picked anyone better for Nicole. Ty is so responsible, caring, and truly genuine with everyone. Ryann is also the cutest little girl. She's got spunk and is full of life. We know Nicole is going to be an incredible mother and wife. We're so happy for them and wish them the best with everything.

I was lucky enough to take this sweet little girl's one month photos. She was such a sweet baby and so easy to work with. She made me even more baby hungry than I already am! We had a few mishaps (with a lack of diaper) but all in all, the shoot went really well. I hope her mom and dad like them.

Hair Couple - {Central Utah Couple Photographer}

Jaime is one of our family friends that we've known for years. I was lucky enough to take pictures of her and her husband when I was in town for my sister's wedding. I wasn't sure how they would turn out because it was getting pretty dark but I think they look awesome. They're a lot better than I could have imagined from just using the flash. They are such a cute couple and I'm glad they let me take their pictures.

These are photos from the second shoot with Diana that I got for her senior pictures. I took some of her last fall and we just hadn't gotten back together to take some more. They turned out so great and I think they might even be better than the first shoot. How gorgeous is she?!

This is a family that goes to my church and I had a blast getting to know them a little better. Their kids are great. They have so much energy and are so full of life. You can definitely see the love that they have for each other and the joy that they share every day. The husband is going to be deploying for a year and the rest of the family is moving in June so they wanted some photos before he left. I love that they brought another family member (Raider, the dog) because it adds so much to the photos. I hope you like them. Good luck to all of you! May the Lord bless you in your endeavors.
